Fruit Smoothies

  • Fruit smoothies are the ultimate fuss-free, feel-good treat, perfect as a refreshing breakfast, a post-workout boost, or a healthy snack during a busy day.
  • This recipe is a celebration of nature’s sweetness, combining frozen fruits, creamy yogurt, and milk into a deliciously thick and chilled drink.
  • With just a few wholesome ingredients and less than five minutes of prep, this smoothie delivers both flavour and nourishment in every sip.
  • What’s great about this smoothie is its flexibility. Whether you’re using bananas and mangoes as in this version or switching them out for your favourite frozen fruits, berries, pineapple, papaya or even mixed fruit packs you’re in for a naturally sweet, cold, and creamy delight.

ingredients icon Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, sliced and frozen
  • 2 mangoes, sliced and frozen (or use any frozen fruit you prefer – about 1½ to 2 cups)
  • 240 ml chilled milk (any variety – dairy or plant-based like almond, oat, or soy)
  • 125 g plain yogurt (Greek yogurt works great for a thicker texture and higher protein)

ingredients icon Method

Step 1

Blend Everything Together :Place the frozen banana, mango slices, milk, and yogurt into a high-powered blender. If you’re using a mix of fruits, aim for a balance between sweet (like banana or mango) and tart (like berries or pineapple) for a well-rounded flavour.Blend everything at high speed for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until the mixture is silky smooth and all the frozen chunks are fully blended. If your blender is struggling a bit, you can pause and give the ingredients a stir or add a splash more milk to help it along.Optional Tip: If you prefer a thinner consistency, add more milk in small amounts and blend until you reach the desired texture. For an extra-chilled effect, throw in a few ice cubes while blending.
