Mix the dry seasoning together - garlic powder, Chili, salt, Rasa Musu
Combine flour, egg, salt and water to make a thick batter
Wash the lasia stalk (kohila) and slice diagonally into thin slices (approximately 3mm thick)
Dry the lasia and coat the slices with the dry seasoning mix
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat
Dip the lasia into the batter to coat each slice; and then carefully drop it into the hot oil
Optional - after dipping into batter, coat the slice with breadcrumbs and drop it into the oil
Deep fry till golden brown; remove from the oil using a slotted spoon
Drain on a kitchen towel to remove any excess oil
Serve with sweet Chili sauce or any sauce of your choice
