Garlic Bread

  • Garlic bread is a classic comfort food that never goes out of style. Whether it’s served alongside pasta, soup, or as a standalone snack, this toasty, buttery treat has universal appeal.
  • This version adds an extra punch of flavour with MAGGI Rasamusu, a hint of fresh parsley, and a cheesy finish that melts perfectly under the broiler.
  • With some simple ingredients and straightforward steps, it’s the kind of recipe that makes an ordinary loaf of bread unforgettable and a main craving that you cannot keep your eye away from.

  • 1/4 tsp MAGGI Rasamusu seasoning
  • 1 loaf of sandwich bread (or any soft white bread)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 100 g butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 50 g grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella work well)
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Preheat the Oven : Start by preheating your oven to 175°C. This moderate temperature helps toast the bread evenly without burning the edges too quickly.

Step 2

Make the Garlic Butter : In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and the MAGGI Rasamusu. This seasoning blend adds a unique, umami-rich depth to the butter. Stir everything together until smooth and evenly mixed. The butter should be easily

Step 3

Toast One Side of the Bread : Place the slices of sandwich bread on a baking tray. Toast just one side of the bread in the oven until it’s lightly golden and slightly crisp—this helps prevent sogginess once the garlic butter is added.

Step 4

Spread the Garlic Butter : Remove the bread from the oven. Flip the slices over so the toasted side is underneath. Generously spread the garlic butter mix over the untoasted side of each slice, covering the surface right to the edges for full flavour in every bite.

Step 5

Bake Until Golden : Return the tray to the oven and bake until the edges of the bread turn beautifully golden and the butter has melted into the bread—this usually takes about 5–7 minutes.

Step 6

Add Cheese and Broil : Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over each slice and place under a hot broiler for a minute or two. Keep a close eye, the cheese should melt and bubble, not burn. Once melted, remove from the oven.

Step 7

Garnish and Serve : Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the hot garlic bread for a pop of colour and freshness. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
